Saved views
Save a tag filter as a tab on your notes - like "Work", or "Everything except Personal".
A view is a tab above your notes that shows the notes matching its tags. Make one for each area of your life or work, and switch between them in one click. They’re also listed under Notes in the sidebar.
Create a view
- On Notes, click New view at the end of the tabs. (If you’ve already picked tags in the filter, the view starts from them.)
- Give it a name and a color.
- Under Show notes with, choose tags, and how they must match:
- All selected tags - notes carrying every one of them, plus any others.
- Any selected tag - notes carrying at least one.
- Exactly the selected tags - notes with those tags and no others.
- Optionally, under Hide notes with, choose tags whose notes the view leaves out (not with Exactly).
- Save it.
You can also make a view that only hides - for example “Everything except Personal”.
Change, move or delete a view
Open the view’s menu on its tab to edit it, move it left or right, or delete it. Deleting a view removes only the view - your notes and tags stay.
Good to know
- All notes and Untagged are always there, before your own views.
- Searching, Ask and Download these work within the view you’re in.
- The Free plan includes up to 5 views; the paid plans have no limit. After a downgrade, the views you have keep working, but you can’t add more until you’re under the limit.
- Views are private to you.
