Record more for an existing note

Add a new recording to the end of a note you've already made - its transcript is appended, your edits are kept.

Remembered something you forgot to say? Instead of making a new note, add it to the one you have.

  1. Open the note.
  2. Click Record more. Recording starts right away, in place on the note.
  3. Say what you want to add, then click Stop and add.

The new recording is transcribed and its text is added to the end of the note - and of its transcript. Everything already in the note, including your edits, stays as it is. The note’s length grows by the new recording’s.

On a polished note

If the note was polished with AI, tick Polish the new part. Only what you add is polished - in the style the note was last polished in - and put at the end. The rest of the note isn’t touched.

Good to know

  • Record more is for recordings that have finished transcribing. It isn’t offered on a written note, or while the note is being processed.
  • While the new recording is transcribed, the note is locked; you can edit it again once it’s done.
  • It counts toward your monthly minutes like any recording, and can be as long as your plan’s longest recording.
  • If the added recording can’t be transcribed, the note stays as it was. Click Try again, or Discard recording to throw the new recording away.
  • A Record more recording that wasn’t uploaded is offered on the Record page like any other, and uploading it adds it to its note. See Recover a recording that wasn’t uploaded.
