Recording length and monthly minutes
How long one recording can be, how monthly transcription minutes are counted, and what happens when they run out.
Two limits apply to recordings: how long a single recording can be, and how many minutes your organization can transcribe each month.
The longest recording
| Plan | Longest recording |
|---|---|
| Free | 10 minutes |
| Basic | 60 minutes |
| Advanced | 120 minutes |
| Pro | 120 minutes |
When you record in the app, the page shows your plan’s limit, counts down the last 15 seconds and stops on its own. An uploaded file longer than the limit is refused - you can split it first with any audio editor.
Monthly transcription minutes
| Plan | Transcription per month |
|---|---|
| Free | 120 minutes |
| Basic | 1,200 minutes |
| Advanced | 4,000 minutes |
| Pro | 12,000 minutes |
- The minutes are shared by everyone in your organization.
- They reset on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC), whatever day you subscribed.
- A recording counts by its actual length, measured from the audio. Recordings still waiting to be transcribed count as used.
- Written notes cost no minutes.
The Record page and the sidebar show how much of this month you’ve used. Members who can record get a notification at 80% and when the minutes are used up.
When the minutes run out
You can’t add new recordings or audio files until the next month starts, or until your organization moves to a bigger plan. Writing notes, search, AI features and everything else keep working. See Plans, upgrades and cancelling.
