# Organizations

> Switch between organizations, rename yours, transfer ownership or delete it.

You can belong to more than one organization - your own, and teams you've been invited to. Each has its own plan, members and notes; your notes in one are never visible in another.

## Switch organization

When you belong to more than one, the organization's name is at the top of the sidebar. Click it and pick another; the app then shows your notes in that organization.

## Rename your organization

Open **Settings → This organization** and change the **Organization name**.

## Transfer ownership

Every organization has one owner. To hand it over, open **Settings → This organization**, click **Transfer ownership** and pick another member. You lose owner access.

## Delete your organization

On **Settings → This organization**, under **Danger zone**, click **Delete organization** and type its name to confirm. This permanently deletes the organization and all its data, including every member's notes in it. It can't be undone.

An organization with a paid subscription can't be deleted: [cancel the subscription](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/plans-and-billing/#cancel) first, and delete the organization once it has ended.
