**Key points** are what matters in a note, pulled out by AI and shown above it: a short **summary**, **action items** (with who and when, if you said so), **decisions**, **open questions** and the **people** mentioned. They're kept beside the note and never change its text.

## Get the key points

- **For one note:** open the **⋯** menu and choose **Find key points**.
- **For every new recording:** turn on **Find key points in new recordings** on the **AI & automation** page.

To refresh them after editing the note, choose **Find key points again** from the key points' own menu; action items you'd ticked stay ticked if they're found again. **Remove key points** deletes them - the note is kept.

## Action items

Tick an action item off right in the note. Hover over one (or tap it on a phone) to edit its text, who it's for and when, or to remove it.

## All your action items in one place

**Action items** in the sidebar lists the action items of all your notes, grouped by note:

- **Open**, **Done** or **All**.
- **Filter by person** - everyone, one person by name, or **Nobody named (yours)** for the things with no one named.

Tick one off and it leaves the Open list; **Undo** puts it back.

## Good to know

- AI can make mistakes: check important details against the note.
- Names that aren't in the note are never added. Names in your [glossary](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/transcription-language-and-glossary/) are spelled as you listed them.
- Finding key points costs AI credits by the note's length - see [AI credits](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/ai-credits/).
- Your action items can also go out in your [weekly digest](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/weekly-digest/).
