On the **AI & automation** page, under **Automatically for new recordings**, choose what AI does with each new recording once it's transcribed:

- **Give new recordings a title** - only while the note has no title. A title you type is never replaced.
- **Tag new recordings** - adds up to 3 of your **existing** tags that clearly fit. It never creates new tags or removes any.
- **Find key points in new recordings** - a short summary, decisions, action items, open questions and the people mentioned. See [Key points and action items](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/key-points-and-action-items/).

Above them, **Polish new recordings automatically** tidies each new transcript - see [Polish a note with AI](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/polish-a-note/). And on the **Templates** page, **Apply to new recordings** makes an output from each new recording with one of your templates - see [Templates](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/templates/).

None of these change what the note says. Titles and tags also apply to notes you write.

## Good to know

- Each costs AI credits - see [AI credits](https://noteclearly.com/en/help/ai-credits/). When the month's credits are used up, new recordings skip these steps; everything else keeps working.
- While the title and tags are being added, the note is briefly locked.
- Automatic tagging only picks from the tags you have. Create a few that describe your notes - "Work", "Ideas", "Family" - and it has something to choose from.
